Brochure & Leaflets Design + Printing

I am looking to get a brochure designed for a chauffeur/taxi business, I know roughly what I want and can provide all the text + logo and some pictures. What I do not know is the type of format to have it in, a5? a4? The brochure would be sent out to company's in my area, rather residential areas. I would have a seperate leaflet for the residential areas.
What should I expect to pay to have both the brochure and leaflet designed and printed?
Does anyone recommend a business or individual that would be any good?
I don't mind paying extra, so long as I know I'm getting value for money.

I use a couple of local firms that charge around £120 + VAT for 1000 A5 leaflets. Depends on the quality of the paper though as well. Just give a few local companies a call and see if any will pop out with samples of different weight papers for you to see. Once you've decided on the weight of paper you can compare costs.0

In always use www.vistaprint.com initially. They have templates for the design and you can upload your images. The rates are good and often give lots of freebies. I would always firstly draft a few with them to ensure I am pleased with the layout etc. Maybe give out a small sample and see what the reaction is like before I order hundreds.
Other than that, the size should be considered by how much folding may be necessary. Companies who also provide the folding can charge considerably.
