External Wood Window Staining

I've got two wooden bay windows (ground & first floor) in a detchaed house and a smaller wooden window on first floor too.

The wood is stained rather than pained but starting to flake.

I'm asking for advice in terms of a rough estimate. I'm guessing they'll require scaffolding for the first floor (£100), will need time to rub down/prepare the wood (£400) and then apply 2-3 coats of stain (£500).

I reckon that'll come to around a £1,000 - does that sound woefully off target. I'm in the Leicestershire area and I've got somw quotes between £400 - £600 but I can't see how they could do the job so cheaply unless they cut corners.

Any advice greatly received.
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.
