As title says i have a positive balance on my my egg money card. (green mastercard).
The question is how do i get the positive balance amount transfered to a non egg current account, and do they charge a fee to do it.

I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

1. BT a ficticious overdraft to the card (see 'Egg Money admin/transfer a balance/overdraft' in your secure area).
2. Call/secure message them, asking for a BACS transfer.
3. Withdraw up to £500 per day from an ATM
4. Withdraw more than £500 over the counter at your bank.
There are no fees for any of the above. Be careful not to create a negative balance by any withdrawal, because doing so will incur interest (but only on the negative balance created...not on the whole amount withdrawn).

Which banks allow you to do this? It's not something I've ever come across.
How would a bank request authorisation for this? I can maybe understand if the credit card was with the same bank but not when it's another card company.
Even if cash can be withdrawn over the counter, it can't be done for more than £500 per day.
The £500 per day limit applies to any cash advance, not just cash taken at an ATM. Things like travellers cheques which are treated as cash advances also have the £500 limit.
The only way for more than £500 to go through would be if it was processed as a purchase.0 -

It was nearly two years ago, so maybe things have changed now?0
