Discounts for twins

  • I have 4 year old twins and find the trick is have no shame and keep asking where ever you can. Some shops are great and give you a little off which all adds up. Local TAMBA groups also sometimes have special discounts for local shops for members. Best of luck it just seems to get better and better with twins!

  • We have quads, and yes it is very, very expensive. Through Tamba, Clarks shoes offer a 10% discount, but only in their own shops. There are none where we live, and John Lewis and Mothercare who run the franchises refuse to honour Tamba discounts. When you join (the gold membership for 5 years is £117, you are given access to the website and the full list of discounting stores. Not with shoes, obviously, but with other things, it is good to pass on outgrown stuff like double buggies, car seats, bikes, (we have passed on all of ours, and I have a friend with quads who gets our clothes. If anyone is out there with quads who would like to pass stuff on to us, we will be very happy to hear from you.

We have 3 (soon to be 4) year old twins. The only discounts offered through TAMBA membership that seem to be much use to us are the Clarks ones. So if you are buying annual memberships you can always make sure you buy before they expire and then wait a while before renewing membership just before you need new shoes. Saves you a few months subscription. Yes you may miss an issue of the magazine, but never found it to be that interesting.
