Hi i have the aldi medion E4230 satnav and can honestly say i'm well pleased with it,great value and easy to use,i also have a garmin GPS unit that i use for wreak hunting, but is basic compared with the MEDION.Thanks ALDI for yet another bargin:jelliewelly wrote: »Is there anyone out there who can help with whether this ia a good buy or not? I
am really tempted as I have been thinking about getting sat nav for ages. I previously had medion sat nav but it was on a pda rather than a stand alone sat nav and I thought it was pretty good - the only thing it didnt do was postcodes - but this model says it has 7 digit postcodes.
The lifetime traffic information sounds really good as well - but is it any good?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks0 -
The lifetime traffic information seems to be a genuine bargin,my advise if you've got the spare cash buy this unit, you will not be disappointed and if you are i've already left the country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

I have the same problem with postcodes. Any advice would be appreciated. But this is a really good unit. The mapping's good, the TMC is excellent.
Incidentally, there's a lot of rubbish on this thread about TMC. You DON'T have to tune it to anything; it just looks for the radio signal. In the nav settings you can ask it to automatically re-route you or let you know, and allow you to do it manually (which I think rather makes the sat nav redundant!). It's got me through a few jams.0
