Instead of moving junk automatically to the junk box, I now have to do it manually by right clicking the offending message and selecting "Move to junk again". A message prior to right clicking states that "Thunderbird thinks this message is junk" on the left, but on the right is a message saying "this is not junk". THe task bar at the top also says "not junk" under the flame icon. Anyone got any clues how to remedy this?

Right Click on the Account in the left pane of Thunderbird ie: Goister: select Properties, then Junk Settings, put a tick or x next to 'Enable Adaptive Junk Mail Controls for this Account', likewise 'Do not move emails to junk if sender is in Address Book'. Move junk Messages to junk folder on Goister. Automatically delete junk messages after x number of days.

It should then just move the junk to the relevant folder as you would like. Or at least using those settings and applying them to that individual account it does for me.
