i owe about 300 and 350 on each.soulful_rhythm wrote: »no i dont use much gas and electric but they are charging me this amount so i can get debt of 300 each paid off within 30 wks and also to cover my bill that would be due
If you were paying back £300 over 30 weeks, that would be £10 a week, meaning they think you are using £17 a week for gas and £15-£20 for electricity.
Are they using accurate readings? Take readings and put them in on their website - it'll mean they'll be basing these on what you actually use.
Look at energy efficiency or ask them about it.
See if you qualify for any discounts (e.g. their essentials tariff)0 -
well before this payment plan was messed up then i was payin 9 on gas and 7 on electric and usually owed 90 at end of each quarter, but they are being stern lol making me pay off debt plus next bill before it comes and one after which is fair enough but i have wrote to them to say how much i have left a week after other essential bills and would they consider lowing payment plan or making electric one lower so i can pay rather than asking 57 a wk when i got 35 left a wk, never know, they may try to help0

Based on this you would have been using £16/£14 pounds a week gas/electricity.
What happened to the £90 at the end of each quarter?0 -
they have now offered me a payment plan on my electric, for 50 quid a wk :O i cant believe that, my incoming is 110ish and i have to pay 27 gas and now 50 a wk electric, how do i live?0

The plans should be near enough zero at the end of (some of) the quarters, not 10 payments behind.

i upped my payments to 15 each to bring that 90 down, my money didnt go into account one wk as some bank problem so BG sent me a letter saying u r behind with payment plan please pay within next 7 days or we will cancel payment plan, and i paid that day i got letter and they cancelled it anyhow, i rang to complain and the man i spoke to said tough it isnt my problem, which i found rude, i ring bg plenty of occasions to sort something out but the staff are not helpful one bit. all i am going to do now is pay what i can and that is all i can do,0
