interest payback from finance after total loss

hello, its my first time here so pls forgive if i have done it wrong........... I was involved in a car crash i was driving...100% not my fault confirmed by the police!!!.... my car has been written off my car is on hp for 60 months i have paid 32 months the total amount borrowed was 15.500 the money outstanding is £8265.00 (however i did put a deposit of £6.500 cash also bringing the car total to £22.000)......can i ask for the interest owed on the following 28 months to be cleared from my payout, from the insurance company as i dont think it is fair that they can have the interest for the months that i haven't borowed the money now...due to the finance agreement now closing just over half way thru.........(i do have gap insurance too)
Please help as I'm very worried that they are pulling the wool over my eyes....

If you are fully comp (hope so for a £22k car) then the insurers will obtain an early settlement figure from the finance company and settle with them directly, with any balance left over being paid to you.
