...I would also like to add the following link from Ebay which say:

"Family members, roommates or employees may purchase items from a seller without violating this policy simply by using purchase options, such as Buy It Now, which do not involve bidding."

    http://pages.ebay.com.sg/help/policies/seller-shill-bidding.html

Thanks for that mira - you've told me something I didn't know!

I got a £10 one and I'm a fairly regualr ebay user. Selling as well as buying.

For anyone who is trying to get a response from ebay, you could try their exciting new 'help' line: 020-8080 2105 and see what kind of help is on offer...

For anyone looking to use a code that was not sent to them. The paperwork that comes through the post with the code clearly states that it is linked to your ebay user id. So don't get too excited!! Got mine friday and used it on a well deserved treat!

I was having a look on the faq's for this (ebay.co.uk/coupons) to see if there was any reason why some got these and not others...didn't find anything about that, but did see this -

Can I give my voucher to someone else?
Most vouchers can be used only by you, but sometimes you can share vouchers. If the voucher includes an email address, that address must be registered with the PayPal account you use to pay for your item. If the voucher doesn't specify an email address, then you can share the voucher.

This seems to completely contradict what they say in the letter (as shown by sarahpeck above). Very confusing bit of info from ebay - maybe if anyone fancies chancing their luck with customer services they can clarify. I'm afraid I'm not volunteering though...been there, done that, got nowhere, yelled at computer etc etc:rolleyes:

I have received the £5 off code which I have used once - does anyone know if I can use it again before it expires on 20.3?
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift - the present. ;)
  • I must have been "lucky", I got a £20 voucher off, time limited for a minimum spend of £40.

Just so happens, there was something I was planning on buying, and meant I could buy it a little earlier than originally planned.

I haven't been overly active, just sold a couple of things and bought a couple of things
  • This may help people who are having problems with codes - advice from paypal.

Could the problem be that your ebay and paypal accounts are not linked?

To check you can log into paypal and on the opening page on the right is profile. Click this and then look under auction on the list to the right under selling preferences. Your ebay account will be listed there. Mine wasn't there . I've now added it.

I was told to check this when I contacted ebay help. I had bought something and was unable to use an Easter code. I'm going to try the code again when I next make a purchase.

    Also this info from them
    ''
''Upon carefully reviewing your account, I see that this account is not
eligible for the said coupon. This may be because the email address
    listed
in your PayPal account is not added and confirm to your PayPal account.

Second, your eBay user Id needs to be added to your PayPal account to
    have
the two accounts linked. Third, the item should be within ebay.co.uk
    and it
should be for just one item only. ''
