Well, I dont know if you remember (you must talk to sooo many peeps) but my bank got a charging order on our house by lying to the courts, saying that we had missed payments under the CCJ (we have never missed a payment)
Well, 2 weeks ago, I sent a message through the secure messaging on internet banking, asking for full details of the 'missed payment' to enable me to look into the matter in more detail. They replied within a few days, saying that the message will be passed to the collections department.
A week later, I'd not had a reply to the query, so I sent another message, chasing a reply. Still nothing.
Now here we are, over 2 weeks later, and they still havent sent me a proper reply, other than they are passing my query on etc.
I was just wondering what you would recommend I do now?
Well their only defence will be to delay, fob off, and generally try to sicken you off.
Do they have a timelimit for inquiries to be answered?
If they do, and they have not exceeded it, then you'll have to wait.
If they've exceeded, or they don't, send in 2 formal complaints.- That they've exceeded the time limit on your enquiry.
- That they have lied in court.
If you send it in by post - use registered mail.
There will be strict time limits associated with formal complaints. X days to acknowledge, X days for a preliminary answer etc etc. If they ever exceed these (allow for postal time), take the complaint they've exceeded it on, and refer it to the banking ombudsman with an explanation as to what they've screwed up on.
Expect everything to be "lost in the post".
Either they will come up with something, or fob you off. It's your right to refer any answer you don't like to the ombudsman.

Would it not be best to wear those PJ's for the first few times, then suddenly come down in the nightdress with the words "I like you..." :kisses3:"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
