Asda pharmacy - always out of stock

Its the 2nd time within 7 days i have had to use Asda Pharmacylate evening service for a prescription. The most basics medicines always seem to be out of stock. we had the same problem with this Asda last year and seems like they just stock the bare minimum....and order for only confirmed prescriptions orders.
A few months ago this Asda did not even have any childrens paracetomol solution left in stock!!
Today, when i asked the pharmacist why they dont have any stock of common medicines, he just walked away and said its nothing to do with me. I said its not a personal complaint, but its happening to often - so he just said go to customer services. Not a professional attitude i would expect from a pharmacist.
Is it like this with other Asda pharmacists around the UK?

It isnt just asda but our local small one was the same so we then went to lloyds and they where the same for basic medicines after getting tired of the going back and forth to collect what was missing each time we went to boots only to told the same.
Off we went to superdrug at last they had the stock in and everytime we go its all there with just a ten minute wait. The best service in the area we live in by far.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives.:j0 -
I don't know about Asda as ours doesn't have a pharmacy, but met up with some friends recently and we lived in 5 different counties. One mentioned having had endless problems getting her prescriptions cashed at Lloyds and all of us joined in with similar examples. Independently, we'd all stopped using Lloyds and had gone back to using Boots as at least they've got some blasted medicines behind the counter in their pharmacy.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)

Stock control (or lack of it) has always been ASDA's Achilles heel. And it's everyday items that suddenly vanish from the shelves for weeks on end,
Currently, the Bristol Cribbs Causeway branch is missing ASDA Earl Grey teabags (they do have the - presumably - more expensive Twinings ones) and 50g tins of ASDA anchovy fillets in olive oil (they do have the bigger and more expensive jars from the ASDA Good For You range). Good for them, not me, IMHO.
I actually always carry spares of things that you cannot be without, especially toiletries, because of this.
I shudder to think what will happen if they ever introduce RFID stock tracking, which will require more IT skills from their shelf stackers than the ability to use Facebook. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
I usually use my asda pharmacy and there hasn't been a time when they haven't had all the items. Must just be yours?Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0

Don't use Asda pharmacy but local chemist for prescriptions. Never a problem. Only thing ever had to be ordered was my HRT knew that but now off it. Just need to phone doctor and prescription made up and ready to collect next day. Great service.
