thanks again, but you seem to be missing the point, after the bbbs poo pood my claim, i registered my complaint with the onbudsman, within the .time limit, they notified me they had received my complaint, therefore having registered my complaint in time , i assumed there was no further time limit to carry out the final details with the onbudsman, as they never said there was in there reply, just the words. " we will do nothing more untill we here from you again, ". so it had laid dormant for 5 yrs, but know i feel i should resurect the claim, back then , all you heard on the tv and radio, newpapers was about registering you claim,, which i did, know i have the time and inclination i want to push for a result, does this make sence,
regards carl
It doesn't really make sense to be honest. I'm reading that as BBBS rejected your complaint and so you referred it to FOS. I'm guessing then that FOS sent you a complaint form and endowment questionnaire to complete? Are you saying you didn't fill them in and that was why they wrote back to you saying they would do nothing until they heard from you again? If not, what were they waiting to hear from you about??
You can try resurrecting it with FOS, but you've left it a long time.0 -
yes bbbs rejected it , fos were notified, they send letter to me stating my claim has been logged as a matter of course, which was all i wanted to do at the time so i did not miss the deadline, and that they will do no more until i get back in touch, they specified no time limit to reply, so now is the time,
basically i needed to register my claim before any deadline, then proceed when i had the time to fight,
the fos did not send any forms,
thanks

Well, best get back onto them then!!
How it usually works is once a complaint is referred to FOS, they will send you some forms to complete. These give them your authority to request the file from the company you are complaining about (BBBS). Without the form of authority, they can't proceed as the company can't release any information about your case to them.0 -
thanks, we have just drafted a letter, outline the previous correspondance,
in the post it will go,
cheers again carl.
exactly what is it you have turbocharged,lol0 -
You may still be timed out.
You have 6 months to take your complaint to the FOS. You did so and they sent the forms but they would have long closed the file. They may not re-open the case because of the length of time that has passed. You will just have to try.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
