Freeview vs Sky FreeSat ?

If you have freesat from sky are you happy with it? we have sky downstairs, but want more channels upstairs (we can't even get channel 5 where I am!) but not necessarily all the sky channels, Thought about freeview, but not available in my area until the digital switchover in 2011........
So, having checked sky website, multiroom is an option but £10 per month + extra box compared to one of £150. Also don't get coverage for sky talk or broadband - which is frustrating as that would save me more than the £10 p/m for multiroom!
So, guess am leaning towards freesat but having never heard of it before any views would be welcome.0 -
Freesat from the BBC/ITV should be starting in May of this year, it may well be worth waiting for.0

This is true, however originally it was supposed to start in March and has been postponed. I imagine it's quite a complicated thing set up so might not be fully working till much later in the year.
Sky's response to BBC\ITV's new freesat service is to offer freesat for a one off payment of £75, this includes free installation of a satellite dish and Sky box as well as 6 months worth of the basic Sky channels. After the 6 months you can choose to take out a Sky subscription or just carry on watching the freeview channels for nothing.0
