Gas pre-pay Query Help Please
Options
Can someone please check this for me-
This was the reading I got today.
I had a gas balance of 0.49p
I put £6.00 on from my card
The meter took £4.20 for debt
Leaving me with £1.80 for Gas
And a final total of £2.29
I was not on Emergency Gas and had nothing to pay back.
I am only supposed to be having £2.90 a week taken off me for my debt, as I am now on benefits. It used to be £5.00 a week, but they agreed to drop it.
I am waiting on an email from British Gas.
Thanks for any help.

When did they say they would drop it? It might not have reched your meter yet.
It does look like the meter was lokoing for £5 still.
Have you checked Screens 25, 26 & 27? They should let you know what's going on.0 -
Hello.
This was a few weeks ago when they said they would drop it. I use the same shop that they sent the message too as well.
I have just put £5.00 on and it has took 20p off me, so I now have £4.80
i had £2.29 yeasterday afternoon.
I turn the heating right down when the kids are in bed too. I could understand if it was blazing away all night and day.
Looks like i will have to ring and try to explain and see what happens.
I am putting a fortune in with this bad weather.0 -
Hopefully sorted.
Phoned them up and spoke to a very helpful person.
He apologised and couldn't understand why it hadn't worked and promised me he has re-sent the message, to lower the re-payments to £2.90.
Feb 4th was when the first message was supposed to have been sent:mad:
He said ring him back on Wednesday, if it doesn't work.0
