Bank Transfer gone wrong!!

Wanted to know if I have done all I can......
Last Dec I applied for a Bank Transfer from Ulster Bank to Barclaycard. I was adv it would take 7 days to complete!!
28th Dec I received a statement from my original Credit Card hoping to see a nill balance on there. The balance was still on there and to compound matters I received the Barclaycard statement which had the transferred amount on there also.
From the until now I have called them numerous times and each time spoken to a different agent who had to go through my problem every time!!!
Eventually I spoke to an account manager and she then said she had to listen to my original call to make sure I had given them the correct credit card numbers etc
It turns out I had given the correct numbers and the person who setup the transfer had transposed the last 4 digits of the Ulster Bank card!!!!
I have since been asked to fax them my latest Statements and still have not had them say when this will get sorted.
Barclaycard have since then cancelled my 0% on my card as I have not paid the monthly payments. I haven't paid them due to the problem still existing. I have also been charged late payment fees and interest on both cards!!!!
I have received a call from Barclaycard asking why I haven't paid the monthly fees and I have advised that it is due to the ongoing dispute.
As it has been over eight weeks now I am contacting the Financial Ombudsmen for them to look into this.
Is there anything else I can do to speed up the resolution of this problem.
I am also worried that they will not pay back all the interest I have been charged or get compensation for all the worry me and my wife have been put through.
Will my Credit Score be affected also....
Any advice will be appreciated.

This is terrible service by Barclaycard. They have made a mistake here and even admitted to it.
They should refund all interest, late payment charges, and remove any defaults that they may have sent to the Credit Reference Agencies.
C.S. Reps transposing digits is a very basic error, they should recognise this and put matters straight as a matter of urgency.
I suggest you use their official complaints procedure and demand that you have all charges cancelled, your 0% promotion re-instated and that your Credit rating will not suffer as a result (i.e. removing defaults from Credit Reference Agencies).
If they do not comply then definitely go to the ombudsman. As far as I can tell you are in the right, and they have clearly acted in an incompetent fashion.0 -
Your score will be affected. Complain to the Financial Ombudsmen and any other source. Many a TV Show like Don't get Done, Get Dom?0

Just thought I would let you know that I have sent a complaint regarding Barclays to the Ombudsmen!
Just a case of waiting for a reply.... It may take some time.0 -
