unposted amounts on card

in Credit cards
I have a bread prepaid card. I loaded it two weeks ago with enough cash to make some purchases i wanted on the internet.
One was with maplin, where i spent over £70. I went to make my other pourchases and my card was declined, several times, so went to online statement to see that there were unposted amounts?? I queried this and they emailed back saying that its the amounts authorised for maplin and they will drop off in seven days. BUT maplin already had their money taken off the card, it looks in fact like they have been paid twice, but they havent it just that these amounts wont drop off until after seven days , doesnt make sense to me at all!!
This all means that i cannot have access to the money, which i dont find acceptable!!
7 days was up[ yesterday but i still do not have access to the money.
Is this normal??
