Best way to cancel unused cards ?

probably posted somewhere...sorry..but what is the best way to cancel

Just phone them up and say you want to cancel the card. They may try and entice you stay with some special promotions.
If you are sure that you want to cancel persist that you want the card closed. Also ask them to confirm the closure in writing and make sure they report this to the Credit Reference agencies,
