Donations in Euros

Does anyone know of any loop holes for the charge banks apply for banking cheques in Euros? I work for a charity with many international supporters, and £7 seems quite steep as a charge for banking donations which sometimes are not much more, or even less than that.

Obviously people can pay by credit card but it would be interesting to hear if anyone has any other solutions?!

Well, it would be worth asking around because different banks may charge different amounts: this is a while ago but I used to work for a charity which used to get a few dollar cheques in, and we paid them into a Barclays account but did most of our banking elsewhere.

You should find some useful threads over there about banking in general, and I think there's a recent one about business banking in Euros.
