Windscreen Repair Kit

Hi,

need to get a chip in my windscreen fixed. I've seen the windscreen repair kits and was wondering if anyone has any views on these ?

Also, if people do recommend them, where is the best place to purchase ?

Thanks,

Johnnypanic

Why bother buying anything? If you have fully comp insurance the insuarnce company normally covers you for free windscreen chip repairs.

Check out your insurance policy and follow the instructions given.
  • Have already checked, have to pay £50 excess for windscreen :(

That is to replace a windscreen, to repair a chip should be free on fully comp and does not affect you NCB, (neither does having the screen replaced)

  • Found out today, if it's a chip and repairable, no charge :) but if it's a windscreen replacement I'll have to pay £50.

At least now I know I can rule out buying the chip repair kit.
