I would need it loud enough to cover the noise of the fireworks which would probably keep my kids awake . :-/

I too am sick and tired off fireworks going off at all hours of the night.
What I'd like to know is how do these youths get hold of the fireworks? How do they afford them? Wasn't there some sort of curfew introduced this year? ???

I think its between 11pm and 7am but I doubt there is anyway to enforce it. Stupid law :-/

Both our dogs are terrified at the minute - particularly the big one that is particularly stressed out and getting a wee bit aggresive. If we are not in I keep music going in the house (as per Traf). The other thing we are trying is giving them 'Kalms' - it does seem to be helping quite a bit

  • Jaffa, I wish it were only youths, but nowadays just as likely to be some selfish, irresponsible adults, either trying to impress their kids or friends!

I agree with Trafalgar and the dog - just have to turn up the TV a bit (and annoy the neighbours!!!???) for the next 3 weeks!

Firstly I got nothing against people enjoying themselves with fireworks as I am sure most of us agree. As long as it is once or twice a year, bonfire night, new year perhaps.

I do agree though every night for a whole month or so is tottaly unacceptable. Not only does it disturb us humans, but as said pets can suffer terribly.

Perhaps the government should clamp down on this and not as they presently do, only allow fireworks to be used between certain times of the day, I would go further than that, it anti social.

I would just like to know how the police are going to fine those setting off fireworks when they shouldn't ... when in previous years there has been a huge problem with rival gangs shooting industrial rockets at each other down the length of the street. ??? I don't think you approach someone wielding one of those and ask they to cough up a fine, do you?
