How to make good external cracks?

Hello all
Wonder if you could educate me, please.
I have a pebble dashed property which I am going to paint externally within a few weeks. However, I have noticed some minor cracks and patches of receding mortar/rendering (not sure what the correct term is
) which I am considering repairing.
What I wanted to know was, what materials I would require to do the patchwork, what quantity of the mix and what additives (waterproofer, additives, etc, etc)
Any advise appreciated
