Section 21 notice

Have a rental property that I need to give the tenants notice on. They are on a monthly periodic tenency since the end of their fixed term.
I understand that the form I require is a section 21 but there seems to be oodles of places that sell them on the internet at many varying prices- where's best place to go.
Also I understand it is very critical to get the end date correct as there was a case whereby 1 day rendered the notice invalid - anybody know anything about this.
Thanks in anticipation

Make sure the S21 expires on the exact day of the month (or day before) that the tenancy began (which may not be the same as rent day, but normally is).
Do them a favour: give them a call to tell them this is what you plan & why.
If it is agreeable to you see if they are willing to leave early when they find somewhere new & pay pro-rata rent up to their leaving date (or give them a rebate from the leaving date) so they are not having to pay for two places. Do the checkout as soon as they leave & return their deposit promptly."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.

I don't know where the best place to get one is from as I'm a tenant not a landlord. If you knew what you were doing you could write one out yourself as it is a fairly basic 1 sided form with only a couple of sentences really... BUT these have to be precisely worded and the dates need to be correct so in your case might be worth getting some help. Are you a member of a landlord association -might be worth it - NLA will give you access to a section 21 and a legal help-line for filling it in correctly I think.
