Hello,
I am a newbie so probably sound pretty niave and I apologise for this but I have a mbna card. I have had it for two years with a 2k limit, I have not used it for over a year, and the balance is still 1, 782. I was late last month, got charged, ok, fine, i have just paid £60 to it on tues but they want £90. I cant afford this as only £90 in bank for everying for two weeks. Can I ask them to stop interest or something? any help would really appreciate from you very savy, clever people!!
thanks

I would contact them and say that you cannot afford the repayments they are asking.
They may be sympathetic and freeze your interest or agree a reduced payment plan.
If not, speak to a Debt counsellor at the CAB (Citizens Advice Bureau) who are trained to deal with debts.
Also post in the DFW (Debt Free Wannabee) board here, they are more used to helping out with Debt problems over there.0 -
