I think we all have to (HAVE to) include something for treats even in the tightest of budgets. Even if it's as little as £5 a month to buy a magazine and sit in a coffee shop enjoying feeling like a 'normal' person once a month.
Like a lot of DFWs, I made the mistake of treating myself a lot when I'd had a bad week at work. "Crap morning.................a leather jacket will make me feel better...................so I'll go shopping at lunchtime............."Honestly, I used to think like that!
Now a treat is £15 on payday to browse the charity shops and try and find a few clothes / records / books / bricabrac bargains as my treat. Because I'm so fussy now, I usually only spend about £5 on payday on my little treats!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
I was so good, I only bought what I needed (apart from one item I couldn't find
) and I used my discounts to their full advantage

So really for one night out a month that means I have to forgo the weekly treats but they are worth it as they are lovely folk and we usually do cheap stuff but sometimes celebrations are called for.

Hi everyone - tfi Friday!
I havent been very dfw today and have turned down overtime this weekend. In my defence though I am knackered and couldnt face another 6 day week.
How is everyone tonight - it seems to be very quiet. x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000
