Thanks, nothing's happened, just fed up being good. could give myself a splurge budget but spending money just makes me feel guilty so just want it all paid off asap. I know I have nothing to complain about really and there are lots of folks in much worse situations but just a bit fed up. still it took me years to get the debts so I suppose I can't expect to get out of it in five mins...:oMortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Well perhaps you could try one of CAFCGirl's ideas - which is to give yourself £5/£10 per week to spend on yourself. If you don't spend it, you get to carry it forward.

Is there a thread on cheap/free ways to treat yourself? Might be worth starting one... first idea - painting your toenails so they look all glam? I did that the other day and it really perked me up!0

Skint spice i agree with Z, you need to have some kind of weekly budget for yourself. When I was first debt free I didnt have anything and instead chucked everything I had into savings. I ended up back in debt... give yourself a treat/something each week. It makes debt busting more managable
I am done :j all that needs doing is a shower and making cards. I even cleaned the whole kitchen and made bread/choc cakes toohad a great day so far...

PAP and Z the problem is at the moment I'm constantly readjusting my budget as all close friends are turning 40 over the next wee bit and even a cheap celebration costs money! So really for one night out a month that means I have to forgo the weekly treats but they are worth it as they are lovely folk and we usually do cheap stuff but sometimes celebrations are called for.
I think lack of sleep is making it seem worse than it is so I'll stop moaning and go have a nap in a bit. Have been to the library and got myself a good book and gone to Mr T's and got orange juice with bits as that usually cheers me up! Will try painting the toenails tomorrow Claire but will have to go to Boots and use some points to get new nail varnish!Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Afternoon
I'm soooo tired - been up since 6.30am, and this is the first time I've stopped for a break. Only a quick one though because I've got to go and have a bath now and get ready for my night out.
I was really uneasy about going because of the problems with Natasha not taking a bottle, but hubby had to work late so we agreed to meet everyone else there instead of getting on the free minibus (so I can feed her before we leave). The taxi was going to cost about £12, but would have been worth it for an otherwise completely free night out (meal AND bar all free...wooo).
Anyway, the company have now decided they will pay for our taxi there too, because it is supposed to be a totally free night out for all employees and partners, so we don't even have to pay for that! :T
I'm wearing a dress I have had for years (it's a fairly plain, long black dress, so no-one will know I've had it forever), and sparkly shrug and sandals. I didn't buy a new bag in the endbut I have one that will be fine (not perfect, but fine...lol).
Hope everyone else is having a good day."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
