Wondering if anyone knows the contact details of a/the charity which re-cycles landrovers and sends 'em off to help out in other countries?

No, but the following sites might help you search if it's UK based:

    Charity Commission
    Intelligent Giving
    Guidestar
    JustGiving

They all have slight different search facilities, so it depends what you think you know already how helpful each of them will be, eg if you have any clue where it is based, or what its name is, or would recognise it if you saw it ...

I did try a quick search on Guidestar and came up with 15 results, but no idea if any of them are what you want. Most almost certainly weren't!

I don't know of anyone who does this -- the expense would outweigh the benefit in most cases. However, if you really want your Landrover to go to Africa for charitable benefit check out www.plymouth-dakar.co.uk/

Labeled 'The Ultimate Banger Challenge', a motley collection of cars are driven over 3,000 miles from the South coast of Great Britain to the West coast of Africa -- Gambia or Mali where the cars are auctioned off with proceeds to local charities.
