Eeek, now you've got me all worried- I didn't agree to changing to euros and the item total cost is only £17.75, am I going to lose lots of this???? Can they pay me in ££s- My bank is Llyods TSB. There was me happily thinking I would not have to pay paypal fees, but this sounds worse!!??!!

If they did pay you in sterling... there would be a big fat unnecessary charge to convert from euros to sterling.

It may be at your end, or theirs. You're better off getting euros - hopefully they know that.

So, now I have to wait and see I guess.Sigh, why is nothing straightforward in life? Thanks for all your help.
  • I regularly get transfers into my bank and I bank with lloyds. It depends on how the sender makes the payment, but for a small amount like that I expect you will get charged £2 maximum if you have to pay anything at all.

Just as a follow up, the money has now got to my account, she paid in euros, and I don't appear to have been charged anything.
    :T So all-in-all a very positive result.
Many thanks for all your help.
