I was browsing around pricing up one of the new Asus Eee PC's. I had a look on Ebay and noticed this - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-ASUS-Eee-PC-701-PC-Notebook-8GB-WiFi-Webcam-UK-v_W0QQitemZ120230160107QQihZ002QQcategoryZ177QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Its very cheap for that version (the 2gb goes for about 200-220ish). The seller has no apparent history of selling electrical goods and has been inactive for some time. He is only accepting bank transfer as a payment method. The latest feedback looks somewhat suspect as well. What do you reckon sleuths?
I apologise in advance if this is against forum rules in some way but couldn't see anything about it after checking them quickly.
Thanks

I am sure on these items sellers are only allowed to offer Paypal. In his listing he states Bank Transfer only - but payment options show Paypal- so all ready I would says his listing breeches ebay rules. I wouldn't trust at all - steer clear and save your money.:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0

eBay account hijack perhaps?
Drop him a message and say you'll pay WITH PayPal and PayPal ONLY.
Why not just wait for the new Eee, it'll be better and drive the prices of the "old" Eee (even brand new stock of the old revision) down.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
yeah i would say he's at it.

According to Goofbay this seller has "sold" £3000 worth in the last 30days!!!
I guess he'll be off with the money soon....
I have reported him for various offences.:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
He has sold 5 of these in the last 3 days and has another 3 selling now!
Anyone with half a brain would stay clear of this guy.0 -
Just as a follow up to this I've just had a look and the sellers account has been removed:beer: Took them long enough though. Hope most people were intelligent enough not to pay him by bank transfer :rolleyes:0
