Tailored car shades..

We've been using Window Sox for the past 2 years and are definite fans. They're great for keeping the sun out of your kids eyes in the back of the car. We leave them on for most of the year and they can be washed without any problem.
If you're looking for a cheap car shade tailored to your indiidual car then these are great. If you want something that looks like you've forked out for tinted windows then I guess the OP's suggestion would fit the bill!0 -
We love windowsox as well in fact thanks for this post as we have just got a new car so need to get a new pair.
Will get on there now and see if they stock our new car

I like the idea of these windowsox, but wouldn't they loosen off the door seals?
(btw OP, I really lke the look of the ones on your link too, but it's out of my price range at the moment, so thanks anyway & I've favourited that link for when I can afford it)The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

When I visited my parents on Oz about 18 months ago everyone used screens similar to window socks with no problems. Mum says they are a lot easier than normal shades.0

No, the Window sox fasten on the inside of the car door with velcro so they can;t lift up and ocme off, they are alwys pulled tight over the windows. I hope that makes sense!!0 -
Yeah I saw those window socks fitted they're really poor quality compared to the fitted ones here: www uvcarshades co uk They have hundreds of makes and models and becuase I live near the facotry I got some for free because they had never done my model of car before (citroen berlingo) You see they need at least one car from each make and model so they can make templates from the windows! Mega! Mine should have been £69.99 but got them for free. Even so, For £69.99 they are REALLY good value and proffessionally made, not your rubish tat. 100% check them out: www uvcarshades co uk :T0

EXCELLENT!
We were driving along the motorway the other day and saw these windowsox on a car, and thought what a great idea for our newborn, as the sun still gets in through the standard shades! Searched for them but couldnt find them!
Off to buy them now
Many thanks!!!is officially a GLEEK0 -
I got some for my car from OE sunshades, think they are called OE Europe now.
http://www.oeeurope.com/gdsitemanager_viewpage.php?t=Vehicle%20Sunblinds
They were £150 for 6 blinds, 2 for rear windows, 2 for the side windows in the boot space and 2 form the tail gate.
With these ones you can have the windows open if you want. really good and can be taken out. They are specific for your model only.0 -

Does anyone have a phone number or email for the manufacturer of these privacy shades?
www.uvcarshades.co.uk and www.privacyshades.co.uk both go to http://www.palmautomotive.co.uk/ who are a supplier of the shades.
They say that they don't do shades for my car yet (Mazda 5) and I wanted to contact the manufacturer directly to find out if/when the design would be available.0
