Was thinking of getting the car windows tinted but have found an alternative, bit long winded but here goes, i found this place.
http://www.motocare.co.uk click on the link which takes you to the site looked up my car "renault megane" which then takes you to another site
http://www.motocare.co.uk/ couldnt see much on the site so a rang them, they had them in stock cost me £140.0 plus postage £10 i think, they arrived this morning and took me 10 minutes to fit and i tell you what, they are fantastic. they even work with the windows down.
i had a quote for tinted windows and it was £250 so was well chuffed at £140
so if anyone thinking of windows tinting try these can highly recomend....
Hope this helps

I got myself some Windowsox http://www.windowsox.co.uk/ they cost me £25 for the pair, mine were showing out of stock so I emailed them and they mailed me back to say they were now in stock. Can't fault them to be honest. Better than the old shades that the kids always broke, sure they cost more but much better as they are fixed over the window and if the kids play with the windows they don't fall off or fly out.0

Just had a look at those, they dont look that good to be honest and they only cover the side windows, these had seperate shades for each individual window and the cover all windows excepot driver and passenger window, thought these where great to be honest as i've never seen them before.0

tbh, they are good enough for me, I only need them for the back as they are to keep the sun off the kids. You can have the windows open with them on as well and it keeps the flies out, thy have a really high UV Filter (they are australian made) and them I take them off when it is not so sunny.
Oh, forgot to add, you can get wondowsox for the rear window too apparently but I did not need that.0 -
Just thought i would share my new purchase with everyone..0

I was wondering the same... the windowsox go over the window so both sides are covered and they fix inside the door. Naff or not they do me, the kids can have the windows open in the summer and they still get the sun protection from them, you take them off when they are raining if you want, I called windowsox and asked them but they said they are fine to be left on as well if you want.
Your post was tailored car shades, this is what they are, you get a different siz to fit each car - just they are much cheaper than the ones you found. This is what MSE is all about - someone else might not want to pay £140 for sunscreens so I was giving them a cheaper alternative. They are not tinted windows they are car sun shades tailored to fit each and every make of car, they also give excellent UV protection - which is all I am worried about when it comes to my kids to be honest!!0 -
!!!!!!, I buy what i think "in my opinion" is a great product which is bespoke to my car and considering i was gonna pay £230 for proper tinting and have saved myself nearly £100 why should i not say how pleased i am, ur probably gonna say that i own the company next..
if i wanted cheap shades for my car yes i would buy windowsox, but the fact is i wanted something a bit better quality.
Bump...
