nettienoo70, if you are happy with Norton then go with it.
Personally I've found that it slows my computer down an awful lot. There are a couple of excellent free antivirus programs that you might want to try that don't use a lot of system resources.
Avast! and AVG have both been recommended by the guys in my local computer shop, both great products IMO. You will need to have additional spyware/adware protection though as these are not included but again, there are some excellent free programs around.

Hi there is a sticky all about kitting your pc out for free over on the techie board.
I use Avast antivirus, online armour firewall, threatfire spyware, and spybot sd, all these are free. If I was you i'd download your choices now, and get rid of norton asap, its awful and it is a heavy resource hog, you will notice improvement once norton is off your system. Btw you will need to google 'norton removal tool' to get it off your system completely.

what Gooner045 said. I'd only had Norton a matter of months (signed up and paid for a year's cover) and it then decided to lock me out and for the life of me I could not unlock it...ended up with virus after virus after virus and truckloads of spam...until I had a pc repair friend sort the mess out - Norton is really not worth the hassle or the money...and you try calling them on the phone...LOL...but that's another story...which I won't bore you with! All these years since I left school and I've never once had to use Algebra0 -

Download & Install the program http://spftrl.digitalriver.com/pub/symantec/tbyb/NAM/Norton_AntiBot_setup_en_US.exe
When installed it will pop up with a message saying that the trial will expire in 15 days.. select 'I have a Product Key and will enter it now' then OK...
Copy & paste the product key into the box and BAM! A years free subscription!
And from what I have read its pretty good too.. unlike the complete c**p that Norton AntiVirus is.. NOD32 all the way!
Hope it helps ya! Its still FREE!!!
Thanks for this but where do you find the product key????
