i had a look at previous posts about downloading programmes etc but I would be very unsure about that.
is it possible to unlock this phone anyway easier like a code etc?

It is currently on Orange I think and we'd like to try it with a 3 Sim for Skype calls - assuming we can get it unlocked would it actually work with 3 for Skype?

HI,

No free codes for that model and it will also never work on "3" as its not a 3g phone.

Don't waste your money paying for it to be unlocked.

Only 3g phone's will work on the "3" network, to find the "spec" of any phone please see here:

Pick the model you require and the "spec" for a 3g phone will be as follows:


2G NetworkGSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900

3G NetworkHSDPA 900 / 2100



For a phone which will only work on 2g (it will not work on 3/3g) it will show the following:

2G NetworkGSM 900 / 1800 / 1900

Hence the 3g network uses the 2100 MHZ frequency.
