Free codes for Unlocking Phones OTHER than Nokia's Thread 3

Have just been given a new Sony Ericsson T280 locked onto Orange network. Can anyone help me unlock it please? Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

Hi All,

I am having trouble finding any cheap way to unlock a HTC HERO handset. It is currently locked to T-Mobile, but wish to unlock it for all networks (including Three).

Market Stalls wants £25.

Any ideas?

I think I managed to unlock my HTC Hero on Orange but I cannot get it to work with other networks. This is what happened:

I bought a unlock code. I received the code and this is what I got:

When I turned on the phone with a SIM card other than Orange UK's, I get a screen that reads:
"SIM network unlock PIN. To make an emergency call, enter the emergency number and tap emergency call"
On the same screen I get a place to put the unlock code and a button that says UNLOCK.
Once I entered the code the phone screen says "Network unlock successful".

It seems to work.

However, after this, on the main screen I get a symbol with a SIM card and a huge Red "X" on it and says NO SERVICE.

I cannot connect to the new SIM card's network (I tried both 3 UK and Talkmobile UK), neither worked.

My questions are:

-Everytime I turn the phone back on I get the same screen asking me to in put the unlock code. Is this normal or should it NOT repeat it?
-Is the phone unlocked or not?
- How can i get the new SIM card network to work if the phone is unlocked?

no free codes but you can get it unlocked more or less instantly online,costs about £10 tho

I have found this forum and company that charge £14 to unlock the HTC Hero. In the forum some people have posted success.

The admin/owner reports full unlock after using their unlock code.

Hi,

Its possible to buy any HTC unlock code from the HTC database for about that price. If they ask for imei number/network locked to/model/ it should be legit.
