As long as you pull it with more than 12 hours to go then yes, but I'm not sure how the ebay fee's work. I would think that you'd probably still have to pay them, but I'm sure someone here will know for definate.0

you get no refund on the ebay fee if you end the item early
but if ebay have cancelled your auction for whatever reason then they will refund your listing fees0 -
Hi Adam
You wont get your fee's back if you cancel the auction
You will have to cancel the auction before there are only 12 hours to go.

I presume there would be no final value fees though?
Thanks

No final value fees will be payable.
If you have bidders on your auction you will need to cancel them before you can close the auction. There is also the possibility that one of those bidders will report you to ebay on the basis you ended the auction early as you were not achieving the price you wanted. However, ebay won't take any notice of this complaint as long as you only ever pull the odd one or two auctions.

I did this when I sold something that was also being advertised locally. I put a clause on the auction page informing people of the local advert and said I would close the auction early if it sold locally. People were ok about that. Here I go again on my own....0

yep i usualy mention the item is advertised elsewhere and the auction could be closed at anytime, might even encourage early bids this way also;)

Or, it might just put potential bidders off. It puts me off, and I don't consider myself to be particularly unique. While not as bad, it goes into the same category as excessive postage and descriptions with the nonsensical and meaningless phrase "sold as seen". I'll just dismiss the item, and move on to the next one.heathen wrote:yep i usualy mention the item is advertised elsewhere and the auction could be closed at anytime, might even encourage early bids this way also;)古池や蛙飛込む水の音0 -
Alfie has a valid point. If I see something that 'might' be sold elsewhere I wouldn't bid as I don't want the hassle. I assumed it was just me, but it seems I am not unique.

i can only speak from experience but i sell cars and motorbikes which i often end early because i sell elswhere or somebody offers me an exceptable price.i woudnt put this on normal low value items but if theres any chance u may sell elsewhere i think its better to mention it than just close the auction abruptly with no warning.
