Please can anyone recommend a cheap, decent all in one printer for home use that does not cost a fortune in ink cartridges? I've been looking at the cheap H.P. ones in Tesco, but I don't want to get one that costs a fortune to run. Any advice very gratefully received. 0

If you're going to use original cartridges, you might want to take a look at the (IIRC) January Which? report - the magazines should be available at any public library.
The report had an estimated 3-year running cost for ink, and the order from best to worst was Canon, Epson, HP and (by a long way the most expensive) Lexmark. This was their summary for 3 years of "average" use:
Canon: £198
Epson: £282
HP: £548
Lexmark: £1,494
They also tested "compatible" cartridges, and the results varied a lot from make to make.0 -
