Genuine Work from Home Opportunities?

Hi,

I don't know if this is the correct place to post this so I apologise in advance. I read with interest the topic on Kleeneze and its positives and negatives.

Now basically my situation at the moment is that the job market up here is real poor, I live in a pretty remote area and there is not much/if any casual work available. So I find myself with only a few hours part time work a week and very little income. Does anyone know of genuine work from home opportunities, in a different area to kleeneze. Preferably involving computer but anything considered. I am certainly not frightened of hard work and long hours, I just need something to bring a bit of money in.

Sorry this is turned into a bit of a rant, but any responses are appreciated.

  • Such requests usually bring the scammers and MLMers out in force, so I'll get in first this time :D

You've got to be very sceptical of claims that they make. As I said in the kleeneze thread, most of what they say is recruiting propaganda; not fact.

    Try contacting these:

    National Homeworking Group 0800 174095
Offer advice on legitimate homeworking companies.

    They may help you.
  • Hi John,

Thanks for the reply and advise I will give those you mentioned a ring and see what they have to say.

  • Anyone who has legal secretarial experience could try a company called Voicepath, which provides a transcription service for lawyers. They dictate their work on to voice files, the files get sent to you via the internet, to type them out and then send them back.

There is an article here about somebody who does this:

I run my own secretarial company and do a lot of work for a medical company along similar lines, plus work for local surveyors typing up homebuyer and other reports. If you're prepared to work hard something like this will pay well BUT there are times when you have to work until 11pm at night, work weekends and generally never leave your desk...!

I just pop in now and then.... :)

Why dont you go away and draft your replies on paper before you post them on here. When you think they make some sort of sense then post them up as i do not understand a word you said in either of your posts.

Please could we keep the topic off Kleeneze, firstly as the OP has said they want options other than Kleeneze and secondly because there is already a loooooooong thread about it for people to discuss

    Thanks

I have a friend, an ex-legal secretary who's looking to get back into some kind of work.

I'll pass this on and we'll look into it.

    Thanks,

    John
