Not sure if this will help, but if a few friends / relatives club together and go into game and give an order their of games and consoles - can be mixed ie psp's, playstation2's and xboxes etc etc they will often do a great deal for you ignoring the prices on the shelves. I did this in Dundee just over a year ago and purchased 4 gameboy thingy's (wee square things), 2 ps2's and xbox, god knows how many games and accessories. My reward from Game was a big discount as shop floor prices were ignored and many freebies were thrown in such as one of each accessory for the gameboy thingy, an extra controler for the xbox and accessories for the ps2 to name a few. Im sure when i toted it all up there was a saving of around £600+ by bulk buying with my friends. Guy in the shop was great and so so helpful - even helped me carry the stuff to the car.
I spent about £1,275 in total (nectar points gained too via debenhams and barclaycard not to mention games points to the value of £40). Game always seem to be willing to do a great deal with bulk buyers and are willing to negotiate just to get the sale. Dixons were prepared to haggle a bit but virgin were no help whatsoever. Just tell them what you want - be prepared to come and go a bit with games - even give them a list of what games you want say you want a specific 3 but give a list of 5+. They will most likely give you the 3 and discount the other 2 for you if you get them at the same time. Me and my friends made a mega saving that day all because of my brass neck and chancing my luck. Failing that there is always the student discount which i never tried for in addition on that day as that would really be chancing my luck. I'd hate to think of the poor guy getting into trouble but he did say that they were allowed one silly deal now and again. Shop staff were brilliant and dont be afraid to play one shop off against the other if there is more than one store in your town. Worked to my favour again especially when i went into the second one and the manager of the other was telling said manager about the mad woman who was thinking of spending mega bucks and was i for real - yip i was!
Be prepared to leave a shopping list so to speak and go back for a price later, giving them time to think about it and if you agree to it keep a copy of the list and their prices and drop it back of and collect it later with hopefully the goodies of your choice, saving you not only money but time too.
I think that you will get a better deal at this time of year doing this rather than waiting till nearer christmas as they are guaranteed to sell then no matter what.
Hope this helps and good luck!!!0 -

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but I'm looking for a PSP including value pack, where is the cheapest at the moment because of Xmas sales?
All i can really find the best at the moment is Amazon @ 180 (no cash back)
I don't mind eBay but make sure they are genuine. UK version only.
Thanks for your help,

Hi, One that's really good at the moment (that no-one has really mentioned) with a 10% discount code applied is £161.99 at Boots.Com Here
You can find the discount code Here.
But assuming you have a Boots Advantage card you will get another £7.19 in Points to spend in Boots, plus if you go via a cashback site like Quidco, you'll get another £7.29.
So potentially you can get it for an effective price of £147.51 !! BARGAIN!! :j HTH0 -
