  • just called and a lovely lady picked up. she said whats ur union no and i said i dnt have one. she said can u plz wait i waited and she said it doesnt matter.
    i said i was part of unison (IM NO hahaha). i said will i get vouchers she said yes plus she also gave me 15% of the insurance quoted. so i will get voucher and 15% but i wont take the offer up bcos im a student living in a shared house. thanks opppppppppppp

    Aw shucks, like Christina they wanted a reference number from me (as well as the word Garnet) - so no £10 voucher for me.

    Anybody got the reference number?

  • they asked for a ref no from me but i said i threw the leaflet away. then they said what ur union no i said i dnt have one. she then proceeded with the quote and she said u shud be recieving it in the post.
    this is just flirt with her, and make it like u sound vert interested. ask questions.

    Haha, I would try the flirting technique but unless she's got some sapphic tendencies I doubt it would get me very far!

    i called yesterday and today i recieved a letter for the quote however no voucher :( are we supposed to get the £10 voucher a few days later after recieveiing the quote by post???????

    Same here!!!:mad: :mad: A written quote but no voucher, and I was going to use them for insurance, but not if they can't honour this:rolleyes:

    Don't worry about actually being a union member. I am a Unison Branch Officer, and our membership records are famous for being in a mess. UIA will not have any means to check your membership at the quote stage. They will probably check if you take out a produc though.

    Members never update their records when they move, get married etc. So the details kept are very sketchy, at best.

    Give it a go!
