Anyone else been asked for a reference number or could anyone let me know a reference number?0 -
No I rang today, n it was just GARNET they needed, but they did ask which union I was in:pChristina_F wrote: »I tried today but the girl was asking for a reference number as well as the work'garnet'

This is excellent - I am a member of the Fire Brigades Union and saw that UIA offer 15% discount for members - I was very impressed with the price of the quote given so have taken it up and therefore earned £30 of free vouchers! Hurrah! Thanks to OP for reminding me of this!0

The clerk asked me for a reference number and I said that I had put the leaflet in the recycling but that I had kept the details (including the word GARNET). She went ahead and did the quote with me but - because I am genuinely interested in a discounted house insurance - I disclosed that we had some subsidence in the past.
This seemed to change the whole thing and she went through more stuff with me. She never said whether I would get the £10 shopping vouchers, well if she doesn't send them to me I am just not going to take her insurance, nyah nyah nyah!
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
