London to Oxford Travelcard

Hello Everyone!

I'm going from London to Oxford tomorrow and was wondering whether buying a London to Oxford travelcard would be valid, since my outward journey will be from London to Oxford, and not the other way around. I will be using the tube at the start and end of my journey so it kinda helps me to have it added on. I'm not sure though if the travelcard add on is only valid if your outward journey is going into London?

Any help you can give would be really appreciated!

There's no such thing as a London - Oxford travelcard, only an Oxford - London one. So you'd need to buy a separate travelcard for your London journeys and a day return ticket to Oxford.

If you bought an Oxford-London one and tried to use it in reverse you'd probably find it was collected at Oxford (either by the barriers or by ticket staff) so would have to buy another ticket back.
