Orchid Dialler - multiple phones and extensions?

I'm about to buy an Orchid dialler to use with Primus and 18185 on my BT line. Couple of questions:
1) I have 4 telephones in the house, each connected to their respective extension sockets in the rooms they are in. I would like the Orchid to work with all 4 phones but I do not want to buy 4 Orchid diallers. The extension sockets are wired from inside the master socket. I can re-wire these extensions and merge them into one telephone plug, and then plug the Orchid into the master and the merged extensions then goes into the Orchid. Would this work and would it cause any problems with voltage or Caller Display?
2) Do I really need the V4+ for Caller Display to work as mentioned on the Orchid site?
3) Would the V4+ work better in my situation as I have so many extensions running off one Orchid? I'm thinking that as it is powered externally, it won't use up line power which may affect the ringing of the 4 phones.
Cheers

Apologies for the delay in replying - I wanted to be sure before I did so.
I have been in touch with Orchid and they have asked that you telephone 01572 717888 and ask to speak to Jim. He has been made aware of your post and will be able to help you and answer your questions.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Thanks Heinz, much appreciated. I'll call tomorrow.0
