House decorations damage claim

I got contents only with Age Concern & my landord has caused
lot of damage to wallpaer in 4 rooms due to extensive renovation work
He offers £195 to make good but this hardly covers it
Does House Content insurance cover this??
i cant find any clause in my schedule

    Contents will not normally cover wallpapering, as that is to do with the buildings side.

    What has happened for the item to be damaged, and who is responsible for decorating? If you put the wallpaper up you might have a case but you will have to argue long and hard with your insurers.
