accepted for virgin money card

I applied over the phone for a virgin money card, giving details of my virgin media to take advantage of the £40 of my virgin media bill.I was offered £4500 credit limit, but really need £5500 to be able to do a balance transfer into my bank account so that i can pay off my car loan. The problem is do i try to get them to up the limit to the required amount needed or find another card for the extra.Which card would i approach now?If I dont accept the virgin card and dont sign the agreement does it still impact my credit score? Can anyone shine any light on this:confused:

DO NOT decline the Virgin card.

Try to talk up the limit. Be totally honest with them as to the purpose.

If they won't increase it, apply for the Egg Card (Visa...NOT Egg Money) to make up any shortfall, since this card will also pay into your current account at 0%.

Do you have a plan for when these introductory offers expire?

Thanks for the reply mate,My plan is to pay off as much as possible in the 15 months, then transfer what is left onto another 0 % balance transfer card or low interest card.My only other option was to get a low interest loan instead and pay it off over a 2-2 1/2 year period. What do you think is better?
