Call Centres

"Halifax" policies (so AA, British Gas, IF, Sainsburys and normal Halifax ones) are all underwritten by St Andrews, which is a wholly owned subsidury of hbos, just like Halifax is (so in effect none of them are companies).
There are no non UK based call centres- When you register a claim (and for dealing with normal minor claims) the call is routed to Copley, outside of Halifax and for policy enquiries it is either routed to there or Leeds. For stuff like loss adjusting, fraud, subs and other technical departments it is routed to Nottingham.0 -
Budget home insurance have their sales centre in the UK (as I recall) but customer service in South Africa. And the South African staff are not as kindly or helpful as they appeared in Channel 4's recent documentary... they are frustratingly unhelpful and unknowedgeable.0
