    Example if it

XYZ co (Lockburn) then can i just write XYZ co as shop name and Area name as Lockburn ........... i can quickly go and check tomorrow in another shop and then call back and ask them if i can change something.....

No, say its Bookies (Lockburn) and the location is in West Yorkshire, it would usually be:

    Shop Name: Lockburn
    Area: West Yorkshire OR Leeds

Its not the same in each shop so I wouldn't advise that, and I wouldn't advise trying to mislead them, probably best to be honest, I know I sometimes forget but have done the visits before at the same shop so I know the pattern in my area, because sometimes they abbreviate, e.g. some put West Yorkshire, some put West Yorks, and some put W. Yorks, and not sure if the client check the report to see exact reporting?

At the risk of annoying people more by posting another non-alert, I just wanted to reiterate TG's post (no 253 above this one) that this thread's for alerts, not general chat.

I'll explain why it's annoying for me so I don't just sound neurotic. When I get an email, my phone goes off and I read the email on that. If it's a notice that someone's posted on this thread, I need to see what it says - as I can't log onto MSE from my phone, I have to go to a computer, turn it on, wait for it to warm up only to find it's not actually an alert at all. Obviously it's my issue if I don't read the email on a computer but it'd be nice to be able to not get excited while I'm out and rush home to a non-alert!

Hope this explains the need for alerts, in the alerts thread. :D
