Trouble with washing machine

Options
Our washing machine has stopped taking the conditioner from its compartment.
We have stripped the dispenser down and thoroughly cleaned it but still no joy.
Anybody any ideas what is wrong?

Don't know if it's of any help as you say you've stripped and cleaned the dispenser  You haven't lost the cap that's mentioned have you?

If there is water coming into the conditioner compartment then Sheel will be correct & the cap must be missing as the conditioner is removed from the compartment by a syphon action.

We eventually solved the problem many thanks for the help............
there was no water going into the conditioner compartment and we found that the water going into the compartments was triggered by a switching process controlled by the main dial...................the thing that did the switching had come away from the dial so instead of channeling water into the conditioner compartment it kept sending it to the powder compartment.........it just needed putting back into place.........thanks again
