Hello jasper27
I'll move your thread to the 'Motoring & Public Transport' board.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Hi Nile
Thanks for that!
h901.. lol short n sweet ..thanks
I know what it involves, I was thinking more along the lines of 'can i pay in instalments'? if I do an Intensive, could I spread the payments?'0 -
Why don't you ask one of the DAS providers and see what they say?
Are you then planning to buy a bike, or are you just trying to get the test in before it changes? Bike ownership isn't always cheap, especially if you ride a complex modern machine, so if you can't afford £500 for the DAS you may be shocked that the same amount can come as the bill for a 12K bike service. Then once you get the bike you'll need to spend an absolute minimum of £200 on helmet/jacket/gloves/boots/trousers. My stack of various bits of safety gear probably totals closer to £2000 by now
If you do intend to buy a bike and are going to finance it, then one option may be to ask the dealer to do a finance package for the training and the bike together. Many dealers run their own training schools or have close links, so I imagine it isn't uncommon.
However, you should whatever you can to get on two wheels. It is by far the most fun you can have with your clothes on and shouting yah boo sucks (or similar words) to lines of stationary traffic as you go sailing past on the way to work is a great way to lift your spirits.
