Fridge too cold - freezing everything!

Help! my fridge is too cold no matter what I do with temperature dial it is freezing everything! Is it totally broken or will it be repairable?

More than likely just needs a new thermostat fitting (the part behind the dial). Not a difficult job if you can source the part, probably £20 or less.:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

can i jump in - i have the same problem, but mine is a fancy all singing all dancing one, thats digital. Any ideas how to change that - why does getting digital always mean more to go wrong? lol

I have defrosted it and it seems ok now I think maybe because it had frozen over at the back it just was blocked up or something0

Our Indesit has always seemed to be too cold even though it is turned all the way down to 'hottest' setting. Don't like frozen lettuce!!!
Might see about that thermostat replacement.....wondered what was behind the dial, it would have been my first point of investigation0
