Unfortunate that the article only followed up on 3 out of the 10 cases!

    OP,
If you're on the yellow line, you're on the yellow line, some wardens will ticket you if your bumper is over the line let alone the tyres. There doesn't seem to ba any ruling on whether the bumper counts or the tyres count, different traffic wardens/councils have different view points on this.

But in your case it was the tyre so there's no excuse, unless you want to roll your car back a few inches, take a photo and try to argue your case on that basis, but that would be dishonest and could land you in more trouble. Up to you.
  • So you were parked on the Yellow line? So you were illegally parked.

I assume you think because it was ONLY 1" on the line you weren't parked illegally? What if your tyre had been 1" before the yellow line, could you equally be done for parking illegally as you were ONLY 1" away from being on the yellow line?

You've been done, take the hit.

do the wardens have to take a pic because correct me if im wrong but in a court of law you are innocent until proven guilty?
i feel this is very petty it is a nice quite rd not blocking anyone, not to close to a turn in the road. and to top it of on the other side of the road where 3 cars parked on a single yellow but had clearly been there all night as they where covered in ice
