My payments to Amex appearing several times on online statement, anyone else the same?

Hey Everyone,

I have an American Express cashback credit card (its the Blue one which Amex don't advertise any more.

Anyway my statement arrived on the 15th Feb as normal and I paid it on the 28th Feb as I normally do. When I logged on the 1st March I could see two credits both on the 29th for my payment amount (although the money hasn't left my current account twice). However I wasn't too concerned because I know their systems sometimes do slightly funny things like duplicate credits and other weird things like a single credit on the statement but increase the available credit by 2x the payment before so I thought it would sort itself out!

However today I've had another email confirming my latest card payment and behold there are now three identical payments from me to me credit card account all dated the 29th Feb.

I will probably phone them up today and ask what is going on! I'm not worried because they aren't taking more money from my current account however it is weird! Anyone else having a similar problem? If lots of people have the same problem then I doubt I need to phone too because they'll already be fixing their systems!

I am wondering if this relates to the leap year in any way because I paid on the 28th and all the payments are credited to the 29th!

I spoke to Amex this afternoon and they confirmed there was a problem for lots of people making payments between the 28th and 29th February and they are working to resolve it as quickly as possible and it should be sorted by the time of my next statement.
